Firstly, thank you so much for all your recent orders since we have had a restock of our underwear and for helping to keep our small business going, it means a great deal to the two of us. We are always especially happy to see so many repeat customers and so glad that Pico underwear seems to be serving so many of you so well. Thank you!
We have recently been busy working on our research and development project with University of Arts London and the British Council.
Our aim is to produce compostable Picos whilst also sourcing our materials from one bioregion of southern India. This has allowed us to dive into historic designs alongside exploring different knit structures and elastane alternatives within modern fabric developments. We’re still at early stages but we have already had some exciting developments.
In less fun news, as some of you may know, we had our main Instagram account (@pico.goods) deleted by Meta last month. Having not got to the bottom of this, we redirected people to our previously dormant account @project.pico. We posted twice since then and as of last week this account was also permanently deleted. With over 16,000 followers across the two accounts, this is a huge blow for us.
As such a small business, we use this platform to reach out to customers, wholesalers, other small brands and a wider community. In the meantime, while we try to fix this and decipher whether we will be able to retrieve our accounts - we are also looking at alternative and creative ways of communicating, alongside continuing with in-person events and our emails. We'd love to hear if you have any ideas too.
