Experiments with Madder

Girish and the team at Mila factory, who make our underwear, have been saving any un-dyed items that might have had a few marks on, or had been misprinted, to be given a second life in a new glorious shade.

Mr Selvaraj, the local natural dyer to Mila factory, has just dyed a batch of our underwear using extract of madder. The plant's roots yield a red dye that has been widely used for thousands of years for dyeing cloth.
